Harbinger by Niah Bach, fiction book

Niah Bach

As a Gen X dragon it is only natural for me to love a good fantasy story. Although I am not opposed to other works of literature. Except horror, it engages my imagination to much and I can usually amplify the elements of those stories tenfold! Niah Bach is my pen name but not just any, it is a derivative of my real name, which I’ll keep to myself. It’s not a bad name just a long one, hence the pen name. Eight letters is much more manageable than sixteen, thank you very much!

As a young woman I owned my own massage therapy clinic and for 17 years I had a thriving business. Health issues and the strain on my hands made me retire and from there I had a few retail jobs. I must say going from healer to merchant was a weird transition, but I did not miss self-employment (though I did miss the freedom to chose my schedule).

When not working, I wrote my book and as I had no formal training in writing, other than my English classes in high school, it took me ten years to find my style. In that time I wrote my story into a wall, and learned the valuable lesson of NOT IGNORGING YOUR WORLDS RULES! Thus began the collection of the copious amounts of log books, filled with information so as not to lose the plot again. The good thing though I was able to salvage most of the rouge text and convert it into the beginning of my second book. Which made me realize I would probably need  more than three books to finish this story. This is were being and INFP and having ADD is both a blessing and a curse. Thank God for editors!

To all who wish to write, do not be discouraged by the grind necessary to hone your craft. There will be many starts and stops. You will burn out and it will take effort to return to your stories. But if you are like me those stories will not me quiet forever and they will lure you back to finish your quest to be your characters scribe! And if other characters sway you to begin their stories too, do not be afraid. As writers we have all the words, we just need the inspiration to craft the stories that await us!
